Life is full of decisions—some small, others life-changing. When we rely on our own understanding, we often end up anxious, second-guessing, and burdened by outcomes. But Scripture offers a better way:
“Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)
When you love God above all else, your decisions reflect His wisdom, not your fears. Idolatry—loving success, approval, or control more than God—clouds judgment and leads to turmoil. But when your heart delights in Him, clarity comes. You stop striving for perfect outcomes and start trusting His perfect plan.
Loving God transforms decision-making because it shifts your motivation. Instead of asking, “What benefits me most?” you ask, “What honors Him?” That perspective brings peace even when circumstances are uncertain.
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” (Colossians 3:15)
If you’ve been wrestling with choices, pause and examine your heart. Are you seeking God’s glory or your own comfort? When you choose Him first, you’ll find freedom from fear and confidence in His guidance.
